Cookies & browser storage
Understand QuickieTime’s session cookie, local guest history, theme preferences and temporary draft storage.
The necessary sign-in cookie
The qt_session cookie contains a random session token. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Lax and Secure on an HTTPS deployment. It expires after thirty days or is cleared when you sign out.
Administrator session
qt_admin is a separate necessary HttpOnly cookie for administrators. It uses SameSite=Strict, Secure over HTTPS and expires after twelve hours.
Local storage
qt-history and qt-favorites store guest work in your browser. qt-dark stores the appearance preference. qt-pending temporarily preserves your brief across sign-in and has an application-enforced one-day expiry.
Session storage
qt-studio-drafts retains briefs when switching tools in the same tab. qt-continue and qt-reuse help move a selected saved task back into the studio and are consumed when restored.
Managing storage
You can remove these through your browser’s site-data settings. Doing so deletes guest work on that device and may sign you out; export anything you want to keep first. Account data is managed separately through Account settings.
No advertising cookies in this release
The shipped application does not add advertising cookies or send analytics to an external collector. If the operator adds those services, this page and any consent controls must be updated.
